Bodo Stern

Bodo SternBodo Stern studied Biochemistry at the University of Tübingen, Germany. He received his Ph.D. in 1997 from University College, London for his work on the fission yeast cell cycle with Paul Nurse. For his postdoctoral research on mitosis in budding yeast he joined the laboratory of Andrew Murray, first at the University of California, San Francisco, then at Harvard. In 2002 he became a scientific editor at Cell and participated in shaping the content of the journal for four years. He joined the Harvard FAS Center for Systems Biology as the Director of Research Affairs in October 2006.
