Bodo Stern

Bodo SternBodo Stern joined the Center for Systems Biology as the Director of Research Affairs in October 2006. His academic career started at the University in Tuebingen, Germany, where he studied Biochemistry. He moved to the UK for his graduate work on the fission yeast cell cycle with Dr. Paul Nurse and received his Ph.D. in 1997 from University College, London. For his postdoctoral studies on mitosis in budding yeast he joined the laboratory of Prof. Andrew Murray, first at UC San Francisco, then at Harvard. Prior to joining the Center for Systems Biology he was a Scientific Editor at Cell for four years.
